Controlling Access to Your CurryDisk Workspace

Access rights to your private workspace folders are managed through membership in CurryDisk groups. The CurryDisk administrator will create a group for the faculty or staff member to use to administer access to his/her new workspace folder. The faculty or staff member will then be responsible for maintaining the group’s membership list of users.

The U.Va. Group management page allows you to add and delete users to/from the CurryDisk group created for you by the ETO CurryDisk administrator.

What to do on the MyGroups Page

On the MyGroups page you will MyGroups Listsee on the left side of the browser window which groups you are administrator for. In this list you should see the new group that was created for you to manage your new CurryDisk workspace. Click on that name and you will see inManage Groupformation about this group displayed on the right side of the browser window. In this example, we will click on the "cu-tag" group.

By "Group Members:" on your screen there will probably be no names, so you will want to click on the "Manage Members" button to add members to your group. To do this, you will need to know your students' or colleagues' U.Va. computing ID.

Once you have added individuals to your group, you will continue to want to use the MyGroups page when you want to delete someone from the group.
